Non - Immigrant Visa "ED" (Studying)

A Non-Immigrant Visa “ED” is issued to applicants who intend to enter the Kingdom of Thailand for the purpose of education or study. The visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issuance. The permitted period of stay is up to 90 days per entry.
การตรวจลงตราประเภทคนอยู่ชั่วคราว (Non-Immigrant Visa) “ED” ออกให้แก่ผู้ยื่นคำร้องที่ประสงค์จะเดินทางเข้ามาในราชอาณาจักรไทยเพื่อการศึกษา วีซ่ามีอายุ 3 เดือนนับจากวันที่ออกวีซ่า กำหนดระยะเวลาที่ได้รับอนุญาตให้พำนักอยู่ในประเทศไทย ไม่เกิน 90 วันต่อครั้ง

Required documents (to be submitted through e-Visa system)

1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
   หน้าหนังสือเดินทางที่แสดงรูปถ่ายและข้อมูลของผู้ถือหนังสือเดินทาง
2. Photo of the applicant (taken within the last 6 months)
   รูปถ่าย (ถ่ายไว้ไม่เกิน 6 เดือน)
3. Official letter from the educational institution or school in Thailand addressed to the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Savannakhet, requesting the issuance of a Non-Immigrant Visa “ED”, or letter of acceptance confirming the applicant’s admission to study at the institution
   หนังสือขอความอนุเคราะห์ตรวจลงตราจากสถานศึกษาถึงสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ แขวงสะหวันนะเขต หรือหนังสือตอบรับการเข้าศึกษาของสถานศึกษา
4. Official letter from the supervising government authority to which the institution belongs (e.g., District Office, Provincial Administrative Organization, Provincial Governor’s Office, etc.), addressed to the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Savannakhet (applicable in the case of public educational institutions)
   หนังสือขอความอนุเคราะห์ตรวจลงตราจากหน่วยงานที่สถานศึกษาสังกัดอยู่ (สำนักงานเขต/องค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดสำนักงาน/ศาลากลางจังหวัด ฯลฯ) ถึงสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ แขวงสะหวันนะเขต (กรณีที่เป็นสถานศึกษาของรัฐ)
5. A copy of the registration certificate of the institution (applicable in the case of private institutions)
   สำเนาหนังสือรับรองสถานศึกษา (กรณีที่เป็นสถานศึกษาเอกชน)
6. A copy of the receipt evidencing payment of tuition fees
   สำเนาใบเสร็จชำระค่าเล่าเรียน
7. Evidence of sufficient financial means in an amount of not less than THB 20,000, such as bank statements covering the past 3 months or a sponsor letter, as applicable.
